Scottish Chamber Orchestra (SCO) and Principal Conductor Designate Maxim Emelyanychev are to release their first album together on 11 October 2019, in collaboration with Linn Records. Schubert’s Symphony No 9 in C major ‘The Great’ is the first work Emelyanychev performed with the Orchestra, after stepping in at short notice for a concert in March 2018. The concert garnered enthusiastic praise from both the audience and Orchestra and led to him securing his new role as Principal Conductor.
