From 2025 to 2027/28, we are taking our VIBE programme to the Scottish Borders, working with local partners in the region.

VIBE is a non-formal, music-making opportunity for young people that takes place during school holiday periods. There are no auditions and there is no requirement for young people to be able to read music. In VIBE, everyone works together to create new music which combines the playing styles and musical influences of everyone in the group – the emphasis is on trying out new ideas, building confidence and enjoying making music together.

On 7 September 2025, our VIBE in the Borders group came together to perform at the Melrose Corn Exchange as part of the Melrose Music Festival for the culmination of their workshops. See how the fantastic day went down in our image gallery below.
