One of the most important ways you can help secure the future of the SCO is to leave us a gift in your Will.
Legacies allow us to plan with confidence. Every legacy, whatever the amount, helps the SCO to deliver on its mission to create world-class musical experiences that transform and enhance lives and communities across Scotland and beyond.
Former SCO Conductor Laureate Sir Charles Mackerras had the vision to see how he could help the SCO by instructing that the orchestra should receive his royalty payments from all his recordings with the SCO in perpetuity. We remember him with the utmost respect, fondness and gratitude.
As a small way to show our appreciation in our 50th Anniversary Season, we have created The Sir Charles Mackerras Circle for those who wish to give in this way.
To enable the SCO to recognise their generosity during their lifetime, circle members will be invited to an annual behind-the-scenes event to hear about how legacies are helping the SCO to make incredible live music accessible to as many people as possible.
