Jon is a guitarist and vocalist with 20 years of experience as an educator and performer.

After studying classical guitar and voice at Bretton Hall in Yorkshire and Napier University in Edinburgh, he was lucky enough to find a job with the Scottish Borders YMI team and has been delivering music workshops ranging from African Drumming to songwriting, music technology and whole class Guitar/Ukulele. He even taught tin whistle once.

On stage, Jon has performed and recorded up and down the UK with a huge variety of funk, pop and rock acts as a band member, leader and frontman. His favourite gigs are the ones where he gets to play and sing Motown songs all night.

Jon's approach to education and performance is underlined by a belief that we should be able to do what we love with a smile on our faces. He also knows how to play way too many video game theme tunes.
