Emma Smith is a double bass player, filmmaker, composer and improviser. As a Lead Trainer for Musicians Without Borders she has seen first hand the importance of music making when coping with extreme situations and brings this experience to her workshops. She combines a sense of fun and sensitivity in her work and particularly enjoys working with adults and teenagers that want to have a go, but are uncertain in their ability. Emma regularly works on the Vibe and New Vibe projects and will be leading workshops with all ages as part of SCO in Craigmillar. Having worked with the SCO since 2014 she passionately believes that given the right space everyone can be creative.
