Summer is definitely upon us and there are two fantastic opportunties to see the SCO perform in two spectacular settings over the summer. Read on to find out more about two magical musical moments in July!

SCO at Stirling Castle: 'Summer in Italy' on Wednesday 19 July

Join the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Principal Conductor Maxim Emelyanychev and SCO soloists Maximiliano Martín and Nikita Naumov in Stirling Castle’s Great Hall or a concert full of Italian flair and Mediterranean summer sunshine featuring pieces by Rossini, Bottesini and Mendelssohn.

Pre-concert, guests will enjoy a tour of the Palace Apartments led by the Castle's Head Guide, before enjoying a sparkling reception with bowl food in the beautiful Chapel Royal.

  • £110 with transportation from Edinburgh, £80 without.

SCO at the BBC Proms: Elijah on Saturday 29 July

The Scottish Chamber Orchestra presents one of the most popular works in the British choral repertoire, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, at the world’s greatest classical music festival.

Full of earthquakes and hurricanes, fiery chariots, wicked queens and holy visions, this intensely dramatic oratorio will be brought to life by Principal Conductor Maxim Emelyanychev alongside soloists Roderick Williams, Carolyn Sampson and the SCO Chorus.
