After graduating in Law from The University of Edinburgh, Alison Paul trained with W&J Burness and moved with the practice to Turcan Connell in 1997, becoming a partner in April 1999. She specialises in tax, succession planning and charity law.
Alison tutored taxation at The University of Edinburgh for many years. She is Editor of Tolley’s Charity Manual (Scottish Chapter) and sits on the Law Society of Scotland’s Examination Board.
She is the immediate past Chariman of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners in Scotland, a governor of Cargilfield School and Director of The Scottish Book Trust, as well as the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. Alison is married with two children. As well as being a music enthusiast, she enjoys skiing, golf and reading.
