Tom Usher is a partner at the law firm Macfarlanes. He specialises in European Law, with the bulk of his practice focusing on EU and UK Competition Law. He advises across a number of sectors including financial services, betting and gaming, music and broadcasting.
He has brought and defended leading cases before the UK Courts and the European Courts in Luxembourg and is a former Chairman of the Law Society's European Group.
Tom divides his time between London (where he is officially based and works during the week) and Edinburgh (which he considers to be home). He is passionate about music, loves live performances and still plays the violin (albeit not very well).
Tom is married with four children. In addition to music, he enjoys cooking, golf and writing verse.
