Dr Patricia MacMahon
Dr Patricia MacMahon is a highly sought-after teacher and vocal coach both at home and abroad. During a distinguished singing career, she specialised in concert, recital and oratorio work, appearing throughout the world. She performed with all the major Scottish orchestras, appearing regularly at the Edinburgh International Festival and on the BBC. Closely associated with the music of Scotland, Patricia has recorded music by many native composers, including the acclaimed award-winning series A History of Scottish Music.
Patricia taught singing at RSAMD (now RCS) for over thirty years, receiving an Honorary Fellowship in 2000, and is now Visiting Professor at both the RCM and RNCM. She has taken many masterclasses, including the RCM, the Samling Foundation Masterclass at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Sir Thomas Allen and Malcolm Martineau, and at Lake Placid Institute International Voice Seminar, USA. Patricia has adjudicated and examined throughout the UK and internationally.
