Zoë van Zwanenberg
Zoë is an independent consultant, researcher and coach who works on issues of personal and organisational leadership and change.
Organisations she has worked with include housing associations, Further Education Colleges, arts and cultural organisations, the NHS and local authorities.
Her career roles have included as a Chief Executive, General Manager, HR Director and Organisational Change advisor across organisations in the Railways (through the process of privatisation), the Police, the NHS and the Environment Agency. Throughout all of these roles she has been concerned with leadership, change and the development of individuals and teams. Prior to setting up as an independent consultant Zoë led the Scottish Leadership Foundation, developing new approaches to leadership development and change across the public and third sectors.
Zoë maintains an active involvement with the Arts, stemming from her original training at the Arts Educational Trust. She was Chair of Scottish Ballet for nine years, leading the organisation through its renaissance as a major dance company and has just stepped down as the Chair of Scottish Youth Dance after nine years. Zoë is Chair of Hearts and Minds, a multi-arts organisation working in health and care, and Chair of Dancers Career Development. She has been a Non-Executive Director of the Scottish Prison Service for the past eight years and in 2016 became Chair of the Lammermuir Festival. In addition Zoë is a lay member of Employment Tribunals Scotland.
