Stan and Mabel and the Race for Space

JASON CHAPMAN – Author / Illustrator

Join the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and the music-loving cat and dog duo Stan and Mabel for a fun-packed session of music and storytelling for the whole family. But watch out for a whole carnival of animals as they escape from the School for Wild and Dangerous Animals in search of a safe place to call their home!

This concert is a sequel to our 2016 show Stan and Mabel and includes irresistibly catchy songs with actions, ideal for engaging young children in orchestral music, as well as firing up their imaginations.

The concert is based on a brand-new illustrated story by Jason Chapman and original music by children’s composer Paul Rissmann. Narrated by children’s TV presenter Chris Jarvis.

Don't forget to join us for our Stan and Mabel-inspired foyer activities! We have lots of exciting activities for you to take part in. Foyer activities begin 90 minutes prior to each concert.

Recommended for ages 4-10 / Primary 1 to Primary 5

learn the songs and actions with chris jarvis before you come to the concert!

Please note that our concert in Perth is for primary schools and there will be no foyer activities at this concert. However, pre-school children are welcome to attend with their parents or carers.
