Join us as we return to the East Neuk Festival. After a one year hiatus, we are glad to be able to return to this lovely festival. As we have done in the past, we are pleased to offer SCO Supporters a day trip to the East Neuk comprising coach travel, a succulent two-course lunch and two superb concerts, both with a SCO flavour to them.
We have arranged for coaches to depart from both Glasgow and Edinburgh, and invite you to choose whichever is more convenient for you. The Glasgow coach will depart from the city centre at 10am and the Edinburgh coach will leave at 10.15am (exact times TBC). The two parties will then come together on Anstruther’s beautiful harbour to enjoy lunch at The Waterfront restaurant.
After lunch, we will go around the corner to Anstruther’s Town Hall for the first of the day’s concerts. Entitled ‘In the footsteps of Thomas Kingo’, musicians from both Norway and Scotland (Mr McFall’s Chamber) join forces for an afternoon of traditional tunes, reinventions and the world premiere of Chrisalis by Henning Sommerro.
For our second concert, we shall nip along to Bowhouse Farm to take part in the closing concert of the festival where SCO Strings, directed by our own Stephanie Gonley, take us on a musical journey across Scotland from Orkney to the East Neuk o’ Fife to finish on Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence. The concert is due to finish at 6.45pm and we aim to be back home no later than 9pm.
The SCO’s East Neuk Coach Trip costs £99 per person, inclusive of coach travel, lunch and concert tickets. Places are limited and you are encouraged to secure your seat as soon as possible, as we operate on a first come, first served basis.
If you have any questions, please call the number above or email email@example.com.
The fee we charge for the trip ensures that we will cover our costs, but does not guarantee any income for the organisation. Therefore, should you wish to make an additional donation to the SCO, there is an option on the downloadable booking form to enable you to do so. Please be assured that this is entirely at your discretion and that any donations will be very much appreciated.
