The music of Chris Stout & Catriona McKay weaves it’s way

seamlessly between glorious soundscapes and music of breathtaking simplicity.

This remarkable duo have taken these most traditional of instruments and catapulted them into the contemporary world of music making exciting audiences all over the world with their own unique music inspired by the traditions of their native Shetland and Dundee.

However, this music knows no boundaries. They have performed, recorded and collaborated with musicians from Japan to Brazil, Alaska to Australia.

Chris and Catriona have performed together on the worlds biggest stages at Folk and World Music Festivals while also appearing as soloists with the likes of the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra and the Russian Philharmonic.

Their music is an intimate conversation between two people who care deeply about their craft and the thrill of sharing it.
