Our wonderful Leader Benjamin Marquise Gilmore performed Biber's Passacaglia on gut strings and baroque bow 🎻
KANA & NIKITA
First Violin Kana Kawashima and Principal Double Bass Nikita Naumov teamed up to perform 'Oblivion' by Astor Piazzolla 🎶
AISLING & SIUN
Let's give it a whirl! Our fabulous First Violins Aisling O'Dea and Siún Milne performed together Bartók's violin duet 'Whirling Dance' 💃
ADRIAN
Sub-Principal Double Bass Adrian Bornet recorded a beautiful rendition of Sir Peter Maxwell Davies' 'Farewell to Stromness' on piano 🎹 (an instrument he hasn't played in about 60 years) - pretty impressive!
GORDON
Our very talented Second Violin Gordon Bragg gave our 'Live from your Living Room' series an avant-garde twist with his performance of Schoenberg's Pierrot Lunaire: Mondestrunken, Columbine 🎶
BRIAN
Our fantastic Viola Brian Schiele performed No 6 from Telemann's 12 Fantasias for Viola da Gamba 🎶
ALISON
We had a little throwback to last year's Winds Outer Hebrides Tour, courtesy of our amazing Sub-Principal Bassoon Alison Green...
