East Neuk Festival Trip 2015

Sunday 5 July 2015Alec in the field

Join us for our annual coach trip over the the East Neuk Festival. This year we will start off with lunch at Rufflets Country House Hotel, followed by a recital at Crail Church and then finishing with the Festival’s Finale Concert at Cambo Estate.

We have arranged for coaches to depart from both Glasgow and Edinburgh, and invite you to choose whichever is more convenient for you. The Glasgow coach will depart from the city centre at 9.30am and the Edinburgh coach will leave at 9.45am (exact times TBC). The two parties will then come together at Rufflets Hotel, just outside of St Andrews, for a sumptuous two-course meal.

After lunch, we will head to Crail Church for our first concert of the day where award-winning organist, John Butt will perform a mixed programme of music including masterworks by Bach and Handel.

For our second concert, we shall nip along to Cambo Estate to take part in a magical open-air promenade concert around the estate’s gardens and grounds, performed by a range of familiar SCO faces, including Alec Frank-Gemmill. The concert is due to finish at 5.15pm when we will then head back to our coaches, arriving home around 7.30pm.

The SCO’s East Neuk Coach Trip costs £97 per person, inclusive of coach travel, dinner and concert tickets.

To book call Adam James on 0131 478 8344.

Due to the promenade nature of the final concert, please ensure that you are able to stand/walk for periods at a time.

Places are limited and I would encourage you to secure your seat as soon as possible, as we operate on a first come, first served basis.

The fee we charge for the trip ensures that we will cover our costs, but does not guarantee any income for the organisation. Therefore, should you wish to make an additional donation to the SCO, there is an option on your booking form to enable you to do so. Please be assured that this is entirely at your discretion and that any donations will be very much appreciated.
