Throwing the spotlight on student talent

Calling all musicians and songwriters from the University of St Andrews!

Applications are now open for SCO VIBE | St Andrews, a unique weekend of music making led by internationally renowned workshop leader and guitarist Paul Griffiths. The weekend is open to student singers, musicians and songwriters from any musical background. You can either apply as a musician or as a songwriter with a chance to have your song workshopped and performed with a group of student musicians and players from the SCO.

Selected songs written by students will be developed over the workshop weekend by other student participants, as well as with Paul Griffiths, SCO Cello Su-a Lee and percussionist Phil Hague. The songs will be arranged by the group, using improvisation as the main tool of arrangement. The project will culminate in a performance of the songs for fellow students at the Students' Union.
