In 2019, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra developed a Youth Voice Strategy to bring young voices into the heart of our company and contribute to the future development of the organisation. One of the main recommendations that came out of this was to set up a Youth Advisory Council (YAC), and we are now excited to begin recruiting members.

The purpose of the YAC will be to incorporate young voices into the SCO; to contribute advice and ideas to the main Board and on the organisation’s strategy; to advise SCO Board, staff and musicians on content for young people in particular; to organise an event/series of events and to act as ambassadors for the SCO.
