As the nights draw in, join the Scottish Chamber Orchestra for a jazz inspired evening of 20th
century music by three prolific French composers.
Polish violinist Maria Włoszczowska makes a welcome return, opening the programme with Ravel’s Violin Sonata. To follow, Debussy’s majestic Cello Sonata performed by SCO Principal Cello, Philip Higham. It’s Dixieland meets Baroque brilliance in Milhaud’s bewitching ballet score, La Création du Monde infused with the jazz he encountered on the streets of Harlem.
