Scottish Chamber Orchestra announces 2012/13 Season

The Scottish Chamber Orchestra today announced details of its 2012/13 Season of concerts.  Principal Conductor Robin Ticciati opens his fourth Season with the SCO with concert performances of Mozart’s Così fan tutte. The Season includes premieres of works by Lyell Cresswell, Einojuhani Rautavaara and James MacMillan and the Orchestra embarks on a European Tour with Robin Ticciati and Maria João Pires.

 

Scrapers and Tooters 10th Anniversary

The Scottish Chamber Orchestra marks the 10th anniversary of its hugely successful Scrapers and Tooters project with a celebratory event in Edinburgh.

Tom Poster replaces Pierre-Laurent Aimard for Brahms' Piano Concerto No 2

Pianist Tom Poster will replace Pierre-Laurent Aimard as soloist in performances of Brahms’ Piano Concerto No 2 with Principal Conductor Robin Ticciati this week in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Pierre-Laurent Aimard has had to withdraw due to a finger injury.
