SCO Connect have spent a fantastic day with the National Trust of Scotland and Sound and Music working with pupils from Coldingham Primary School and Eyemouth Primary School.
We’ve scarcely drawn breath after the closing concert of one season and we’re already thinking about the next. When I saw the works lined up for the SCO Chorus to sing in 2011–12 I thought ‘I have GOT to get through my reaudition!’
It’s been another exciting musical season for the Chorus. The repertoire chosen each year always has something interesting in addition to some very popular works – this year has been no exception. While we work hard and to a very high standard, it’s a really enjoyable chorus to sing in because of the fun during rehearsals and the fact that we get to perform with the SCO.
On Good Friday and Easter Saturday SCO Connect joined forces with the National Galleries of Scotland to help families find the answer to the puzzling question Can a Painting Make a Sound? Over the two days over 500 people enjoyed finding out the answer!
