Here you'll find downloads that can help you write your own soundtrack for an animation. With great tips from composer Alexis Bennett, it couldn't be easier!
From January - July 2009 SCO Education worked with animation company Binary Fable on a project called The Lost Book. This was an online animated whodunit with the story written by anybody who visited The Lost Book website and suggested storylines. We also had a soundtrack competition, cupcake competition, treasure hunt and loads more exciting adventures! The soundtrack for the animation was commissioned by SCO Education and performed by SCO musicians. You can watch the full story by clicking here
As part of our project we created guides to creating your own cut-out animation, complete with soundtrack. We'd like to share these with you, and if you feel creative and make an animation we'd love to see it! Send us a link and we might even feature it on this website.
These documents contain everything you need to know about creating your own cut-out animation, from storyboards to planning and taking lots of pictures to bring your characters to life. There are also some useful cut-out characters.

Music makes a huge difference. To see how music changes our Fetch! film, watch 'Fetch! With Music' here in our video section.
During the project we held a soundtrack competition, and received 19 entries from 6 countries around the world. We asked people to write their own soundtrack for Episode 1, and our winners came from the USA and England. The version of the episode without soundtrack is available on this website in our video section, so feel free to have a go too!
If you've made an animation using the resources from this site. Use the comment field to tell us about your new work, and the best will be uploaded onto the SCO website!
