Bear Hunt!

Image for Bear Hunt!

Guaranteed to have children singing in the playground, this project uses the classic children's story, We’re Going On A Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen, as the inspiration for a magical journey to find the bear through a series of mini musical adventures. It includes a song specially composed by leading British composer Alec Roth, and plenty of opportunities to make music.

Created in consultation with teachers and music specialists Bear Hunt! is devised for children in the last year of nursery and the first few years of primary school (P1-3).

Since its creation in 2003, SCO Connect's Bear Hunt! project has travelled far and wide. The wind trio have visited schools throughout Scotland, from Sanday to Kirkcudbright. An adapted version of the project has also enthralled very small children at Craigmillar Library and the Edinburgh International Book Festival.

There has been no shortage of sightings of bears in Scotland and the talented trio are in hot demand from schools.

The Bear Hunt trio will be visiting schools during the week of 13-17 May 2013. If you would like The Bear Hunt to visit your school please contact Kirsten on 0131 478 8353 or kirsten.hunter@sco.org.uk
