SCO Connect

        SCO Connect

SCO Connect aims to inspire and engage with people of all backgrounds, ages and abilities across Scotland through music, working with the musicians of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.

Our wide-ranging creative programme includes opportunities for families to engage with the SCO through our Big Ears, Little Ears concerts; opportunities for young people to compose and perform music through both SCO VIBE and our creative projects in schools such as Masterworks and Fletcher's Ballad; opportunities for music to have a positive impact on the lives of people in the community through initiatives such as the SCO ReConnect music and dementia project; and opportunities for people to develop their skills, love and understanding of music through lifelong events such as our ever popular SCO Explore days, Scrapers and Tooters weekends and our new SCO Vocal Weekends.

Further and higher education music students can get closer to the SCO in our Open Rehearsals and we've also made it easier for teachers to introduce their pupils to the thrill of live music with our Bring Your Class to a Concert scheme.

Keep up to date with the life of the orchestra online through short films and interviews and behind-the-scenes news from players in our Blog.

If you've taken part before, welcome back! If it's your first time, we look forward to meeting you.

SCO VIBE is support by Creative Scotland.

Working in partnership with the school, Platform in Easterhouse and composer Matilda Brown, a variety of creative work will be planned for each term in the academic year.
