SCO Connect events

CPD session for teachers - Edinburgh

All teachers with pupils involved in Masterworks are encouraged to attend a 2 ½ hour CPD session planned and delivered by Paul Rissmann and SCO Connect. The session consists of:

- Outline of the project

- Introduction to the piece through a study of the score

- Practical ideas for using musical techniques from the piece as a basis for inventing work in the classroom

- Presentation of Teacher's Pack

This places teachers at the heart of delivering the Masterworks project, enabling them to play a crucial role in engaging their pupils with this year's Masterworks repertoire, Sally Beamish's Viola Concerto no. 2 'The Seafarer'.
