SCO Connect events

Operantics Fife

S&T is venturing to Fife for the very first time with our Operantics for chorus and orchestra conducted by Howard Moody.

The weekend is planned as an extension of the Scrapers and Tooters format, which focuses on purely orchestral music, and will give players the opportunity to rehearse and perform alongside singers. As well as orchestral instrumentalists we invite amateur singers to join us as a chorus for a weekend of non-pressurised music-making. The chorus will rehearse all day Saturday with the orchestra joining rehearsals on Sunday. Friends and family can enjoy your hard work with an informal concert on the Sunday evening.

Comparing Notes Edinburgh Session 3

Comparing notes are our new informal and in-depth discussion groups based around a series of four concerts.  Not only do the groups offer the chance to learn about some of the music before you hear it, but they also give you the opportunity to reflect on the concerts, discuss it and lots more in future weeks.
