Students from Forrester High School makes their third concert visit as part of Everyone's A Critic.  Visiting St Cuthbert's Parish Church the group will attend the Cl@six - Baroque Masters concert.

School pupils from St John's Academy and Our Lady's Primary School, along with a group of adults from Perth, are taking part in an Indian Dance and Music project inspired by Samaagam -a piece of music written by renowned Indian sarod virtuoso Amjad Ali Khan, conductor David Murphy, and musicians from SCO LAB - the SCO's experimental music group.  

Today, Lis Dooner, and Robert McFall are leading a music workshops with an adult group.

Scrapers & Tooters Glasgow

Scrapers & Tooters makes a welcome return to the beautiful City Halls with conductor Michael Bawtree.With the opportunity to play on the beautiful Grand Hall stage, it should be a weekend to remember. S&T weekends are a great opportunity for amateur musicians to get together for non-pressurised weekends of music-making.

For all of our weekends, some scraping, tooting or singing experience is required but previous knowledge of the music is not necessary.

Once you have booked your place, we also offer the chance to buy reduced price tickets for a concert linked to the S&T weekend.

Have you ever wondered what life was like in 19th century Germany? Dr Fiona Elliott will explore the life and times of featured composer, Robert Schumann. Including music, visual art, poetry and literature, this Study Day will illustrate the rich cultural history surrounding Schumann's music.

Tickets cost £15 which includes refreshments and lunch.

Comparing Notes Edinburgh Session 1

Comparing notes are our new informal and in-depth discussion groups based around a series of four concerts. Not only do the groups offer the chance to learn about some of the music before you hear it, but they also give you the opportunity to reflect on the concerts, discuss it and lots more in future weeks.
