Music Factory - Fife

Advanced Higher Music pupils across six local authorities are taking part in Music Factory, a composition project led by composers Stephen Deazley and Alasdair Nicolson. They will lead composition workshops over 3 months alongside SCO musicians. The pupils' finished works will then be professionally recorded.
Today, the team led by Stephen Deazley, Lorna MacLaren, Adrian Bornet and Alison Mitchell are holding their third composition workshop in Fife.

Samaagam workshop 1

School pupils from St John's Academy and Our Lady's Primary School, along with a group of adults from Perth, are taking part in an Indian Dance and Music project inspired by Samaagam -a piece of music written by renowned Indian sarod virtuoso Amjad Ali Khan, conductor David Murphy, and musicians from SCO LAB - the SCO's experimental music group.
Today, Lis Dooner and Su-a Lee are leading the first music workshops with an adult group.

Today, the team led by Alasdair Nicolson, Harry Kerr, Janet Larsson and Clea Friend are holding their second composition workshop in Moray.

Everyone's A Critic Concert Visit 1

Students from Forrester High School makes its first concert visit as part of Everyone's A Critic. Visiting St Cuthbert's Parish Church the group will attend the Cl@six - A Little Night Music concert.
