SCO Connect works with primary schools, secondary schools, universities and colleges throughout Scotland. In all of our education projects, we work collaboratively with organisations to ensure that the work our players deliver is relevant and accessible for participating pupils and students. From our Masterworks programme with secondary schools, open rehearsals with university students and our long term primary school residency, our education projects offer innovative and creative ways to engage with the Orchestra for all ages and abilities.

If you would like to take part or find out more about our work, have a look at our projects or contact Julie Aitken, SCO Connect Officer (Education), on 0131 478 8353

The Residency has had a tremendous impact in the musical confidence of our pupils. Unlike other programmes where pupils already interested in music or showing talent are taken to learn a particular instrument, this project ensured that not only have all the children had their musical boundaries pushed, but that our children are now confident, keen and interested in experimenting with their musical creations.
